What You Will Do
The primary purpose is to ensure the Distribution Network is optimally systemized through new functionality, resulting in efficient and reliable system applications. This role is responsible for analyzing, developing, testing, training and implementing sound solutions to optimize new functionality introduced into Supply Chain Distribution by means of systems initiatives, enhancements, and upgrades required for Lowe’s WMS (Warehouse Management System) and WLM (Warehouse Labor Management) Distribution Products (for RDCs, FDC, BDCs, XDTs, and DFCs). Working in partnership with the Lowe's IT Business Units and external solutions providers to support key Business projects. This role works closely with the SC Initiatives Consultant-Systems and IT Leads to manage the product backlogs for one or more product groups while prioritizing work and making product-related decisions based on the needs and expectations of customers and stakeholders.
Responsibility Statements
•Interprets, analyzes, provides, prioritizes business requirements; configures the product, UAT planning and execution, and change management/training activities for Enterprise initiatives, new product implementations, enhancements, maintenance releases, new facility startups, and system upgrades partnering with Business and Learning and Development team members.
•Serves as the subject matter expert during business requirements and solutions development for all WMS initiatives, projects, enhancements and upgrades
•Conducts detailed work stream analysis to ensure business and solution requirements are accurately reflected during the development phase
•Develops comprehensive test plans based on the business solution design to plan and schedule detailed test case development and execution
•Partners with the SC Initiatives Consultant-Systems, Product Management , and IT Leads to integrate the UAT test plans into the final integrated Master Test Plan for the initiative, project, enhancement or upgrade
•Catalogs detailed test cases for execution once the new business solution is delivered
•Conducts detailed analysis of all defects to identify the root cause of failure, the severity of the defect and potential UAT test schedule impacts caused by the defect
•Recommends alternatives to the SC Initiatives Consultant-Systems, Product Management , IT Leads to eliminate or minimize delays caused by solution defects
•Prepares detailed End-User documentation to Business Stakeholders for the configuration and use of all new WMS functionality
•Partners with Business Stakeholders to analyzes all WMS production defects generated by the software users and provides detailed analysis to the Production Management and IT Solutions Leads to drive expeditious restoration of the operating system
•Performs UAT on all corrected defects and providing UAT sign off for update of the operating system
What you Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications
•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or Related Field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
•3 years' progressive Engineering/IT/Operations/Project Management/ UAT experience in a multi-unit environment
•3 years’ experience of Super User Knowledge of Supply Chain distribution products (WMS, Manhattan/BY WMS and WFM)
•3 years’ experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of software development life cycles (SDLC)
•3 years’ experience gaining advanced knowledge of Distribution Management Systems, RF Functions and Web applications
•3 years’ experience gaining knowledge of Distribution Support methods and Operational operating procedures in all functional areas
•3 years’ experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of software development life cycles (SDLC) and Agile
•2 years’ experience collaborating with design/development teams, internal or external and experience working directly with 3rd party Software vendors
