Sanitation Worker

POSITION SUMMARY

To ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of machinery in various work areas within a food manufacturing facility.

Shift: MONDAY-THURSDAY 3PM-1AM (with opportunity for overtime on Fridays!)

Job Description:

· Responsible for cleaning and/or sanitizing food processing facilities and equipment.

· Participates in the disassembly, sanitation and reassembly of a variety of complex equipment and the cleaning of food production and processing areas following Good Manufacturing Practices and OSHA regulations.

· Assists with the cleaning and maintenance of the chemical storage room, cleaning equipment, cleaning tools, and Personal Protective Equipment.

· Participates with the training involved with the cleaning and sanitation efforts at Private Label Foods of Rochester, Inc.

· Accurately following all Company SOPs and properly documenting your daily progress.

Required Skills, Education, and Experience:

· High School Diploma/GED.

· Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

· Previous manufacturing experience. Food manufacturing a plus.

· Strong attention to detail to maintain high levels of quality.

· Basic math and reasoning skills; apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions

· Ability to use basic tools (box cutter, radio, etc.)

· Good communication skills, both written and oral.

Work Environment:

· Noise: Can be loud – earplugs provided for daily use.

· Stand and move all day.

· Twist, bend, reach, squat, etc.

· Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to be worn at all times including company uniform, hair net, beard net if applicable, safety glasses, earplugs, bumper cap. All provided.
