Position Overview
Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Sanitor will be responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, facility walls, floors, and tables within production departments. This position utilizes foamers, floor scrubbers, and basic hand tools and works independently near heavy machinery, in tight/high spaces, and with strong chemicals.
Shift
Third Shift: 8:00pm - 6:30am, Sunday - Wednesday or as job responsibilities require
Pay
$20.17 / Hour ($18.17 / Hour + $2.00 / Hour Shift Premium)
Essential Functions
- Perform cleaning and sanitation of plant equipment and environment in a thorough and safe manner
- Operate cleaning systems and equipment as trained and specified
- Assist in developing and implementing Sanitation standard operating procedures
- Complete all MSS actions on time and according to the established SSOP
- Operate machinery as needed to meet production requirements
- Perform cross functional duties as needed based on availability of resources
- Follow procedures for the proper use of chemical supplies and power equipment per established guidelines
- Ensures chemicals are properly labeled and stored
- Clean up bodily fluids in the event of an incident per the Blood Bourne Pathogens Policy
- Continuous monitor the sanitation of production areas and equipment/machinery
- Notify management of any potential hazards
- Perform job duties in a manner that meets company Quality and Safety standards
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience
- 0-1 years of experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in a food processing environment
- Experience in industrial sanitation operations
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of good manufacturing practices
- Knowledge of basic sanitation methods
- Knowledge of basic hand tools
- Skills in basic math principles as they relate to product usage and dilution rates
