Salon Receptionist

Our college team members are going home for the summer so we are looking for PART-TIME friendly, dependable, energetic additions to our front desk team! KJ’s has been a premier salon in the Cedar Valley for over 50 years, and we want passionate individuals to uphold that reputation as the first impression to customers as they enter the salon.

The team members we are looking to add must be available for a minimum of:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday availability of 3 pm to 8ish pm

Friday availability from 1 pm to 8ish pm (shift will vary between these times) each week

(2) Saturday shifts (7:45 am to 5ish pm) & (2) Sunday (9:45 am to 4ish pm) shifts per month

Additional day shift availability is a plus!

Duties include: greeting customers, making appointments, answering phones, keeping the salon clean as well as closing the salon. Benefits include discounted services/ products!

Required Skills: Technical- Must be able to navigate iPad technology and be quick to learn our booking system (with help, of course!)

Phone- Must be comfortable and confident taking phone calls and taking information over the phone.

Communication- Must be able to communicate with other team members and stylists to ensure a smooth flow of appointments.

Multitasking- Must be detail oriented and be able to remain calm and maintain control when the salon gets busy.

Preferred Skills: -Salon experience and product knowledge is a plus (but not required by any means).

We are looking for someone with a fun and friendly attitude! Previous customer service experience is also a plus but not a requirement.

Pay: From $10.00 per hour
