Position Title: Salesforce Administrator
Start Date: April 15, 2024
Status: Full-time; Remote (Naples, NYC, CT, or Washington, DC)
Reports to: Chief Development Officer (CDO)
Supervises: None

Role Purpose:
We rely on the generosity of our donors to support our programs and initiatives, and we are dedicated to providing them with an exceptional experience. As a Salesforce-driven nonprofit, we are seeking a detail-oriented and donor-focused individual to join our team as Salesforce Administrator. As the Salesforce Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Salesforce ecosystem to support donor engagement activities and ensure data accuracy and integrity. In addition, you will provide excellent support to our donors, facilitating a positive donor experience.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Salesforce Administration:
a. Configure and customize Salesforce to meet the organization's needs, including fields, page layouts, flows, and validation rules. Ensure automations and integrations are working properly.

b. Manage user roles, profiles, permissions, and security settings.
c. Implement and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other systems, including but not limited to Classy, Fundraise Up, Apsona, Sage Intacct, and ActiveCampaign.


2. Gift Entry and Acknowledgment:
a. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of donation entry and import into Salesforce.
b. Maintain templates in Apsona for acknowledgement letters year-end receipts and other needs.


3. Data Integrity and Maintenance:
a. Ensure the integrity of donor records by performing regular data hygiene tasks and reconciling donation records.
b. Collaborate with the Finance team to reconcile donation records between Salesforce and financial systems on a monthly basis.


4. Reporting and Analysis:
a. Create and maintain reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights for stakeholders and leadership.
b. Analyze donor data to identify trends and inform fundraising strategies.


5. Donor Support:
a. Provide frontline support to donors, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive donor experience.


6. Training and Documentation:
a. Train users on Salesforce functionality and best practices.
b. Document processes, procedures, and system changes to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure compliance.


7. Collaboration:
a. Collaborate with the development team, finance team, and other departments to ensure alignment of donor data and processes with organizational goals and objectives.


Required Skills and Attributes
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM 201) and Nonprofit Cloud Certification required.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, and best practices.
  • Experience with Salesforce Lightning and Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) required.
  • Experience with Classy, FundraiseUp, OneCause, and other event software desired.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and transformation (vLookup, Pivot Tables, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing outstanding donor experience.
  • Responsiveness and availability at key times.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism and service.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range is $75,000-$80,000 and commensurate with experience (DOE).
