The Product Sales Specialist is responsible to conduct dealership Sales Training in the field for the Ventrac product line. This position will support the training needs as requested from Ventrac Training Manager, Directors of Sales, and TSM's (Territory Sales Managers). This position will support goals of the company and will build and maintain strong relationships with the Ventrac dealerships and customers. This job involves a relationship-based approach that allows us to create a positive and informative experience by exceeding expectations and demonstrating outstanding product knowledge, along with a world class customer service experience with every interaction for each customer.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Provide Sales Training for new dealers and new Ventrac sales personnel
  • Work closely with Engineering during the New Product Development Process to provide training to the TSM's for all new products as they are introduced to our dealers
  • Report on training program effectiveness and suggest improvements to training criteria based on observations in the field
  • Present and lead training sessions for large groups (Sales meetings, trade shows, demos, internal training for existing sales force, etc.)
  • Must be an expert on all Ventrac equipment and able to answer inquiries from the customer
  • Deliver Sales Training according to business needs and ensure all gaps in knowledge, skills, and competency have been fulfilled and training is complaint with safe operation for all Ventrac equipment
  • Assist and/or fill in for TSM's with equipment demonstrations
  • Assist as needed with Regional and/or National Level Shows
  • Assist with content development for Sales Training and customer-focused events
  • Present and lead training sessions online, either live or pre-recorded

Other Job-Related Components:
  • Position is available for remote work, with frequent onsite travel to headquarters in Orrville, OH and dealerships across the USA. #LI-Onsite #LI-Remote
  • Travel expectation: 70% annually; travel will be spent overnights and some weekends away from home

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Exceptional communication skills and demonstrate ability to speak in front of large groups
  • Strong interpersonal skills - professional, courteous, friendly, and helpful
  • Excellent grammar, voice, and diction abilities
  • Strong process and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates sales aptitude: 1+ years successfully working in sales, customer service, or training capacity
  • Must have or be able to gain a Medical Examiner's Certificate and be insured to drive VPI vehicles
  • Proven experience maintaining a calm and professional demeanor and ability to communicate effectively when handling stressful situations or dealing with unhappy customers
  • Proven to have a strong attention to detail
  • Experience working independently under limited supervision
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret mechanical and operational information effectively
  • Must be willing and capable to trailer, load, unload, and demonstrate equipment
  • Able to lift occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time, physically able to operate and work on Ventrac equipment including bending, kneeling, or laying down to work on it
  • Excellent computer and keyboarding skills: Microsoft Office programs, Zoom, Teams, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of working in sales, customer service, or training capacity
  • 1+ years of experience presenting to a group or leading group training
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
