Job Title: Western Regional Sales Support Technical Liaison

Summary:
This position will be responsible for communication and cooperation which facilitates a close working relationship between the sales department, customer service, Technical Support and other internal organizations as required. Primarily supporting the Regional Sales Manager with technical solutions for a wide range of specific applications. Targeted applications include, but is not limited to, all DC/CV and Higher Power Test & Measurements. This position must provide innovative configurations that ensure customer satisfaction.
Essential Job Functions of the Position:
- Advanced Semiconductor Test (AST) Division to support in collaboration with local the Regional Sales Manager & Representatives
- Use technical knowledge of the engineering and innovative design capabilities to provide leading edge solutions to representatives and/or customers technical contact
- Support the Sales Manager’s annual customer order entry objectives as defined by the Director of Sales in the assigned territory
- Become a technical liaison for the Sales Manager and factory
- Develop unique and individual customer presentations designed to professionally position the MPI AST brand in North America.
- Must have good communication skills with the ability to successfully work with both customers and internal support teams; this includes the TW factory
- Must be able to think independently
- Must have leadership and customer relationship skills
- Deliver formal presentations to the Sales Manager and/or customers when required
- Occasional travel to corporate HQ in Taiwan to accompany customers and for training events
- Technical conference and trade show trade show attendance and participation
- Detailed customer facing interaction to develop timely and accurate AST equipment specifications and quotations
- Hands on working with customers on product qualification processes
- Must be well organized with paperwork and tasks to include, but not limited to, CRM database, customer visit reports, internal process development; from configuration, quoting process, cross functional projects, and expense reports
- General customer support via email and phone
Employment Requirements:
- Work Experience: At least 3 years of related experience (preferred but not required); preferably in the semiconductor industry.
- Education: Associates or above degree from an accredited university. Electrical or Mechanical Engineering will be a plus
- Skills: Ability to use advanced Microsoft Office programs, e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint, etc. Good verbal and presentation skills, effective communication skills
- Language ability: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Essential Abilities: Fast learner, team player, problem solver & can work independently without supervision
- Employment Authorization: Authorized to work in the US.
Working Conditions:
- Job Type: Full time
- Hours: Normal customer business hours Monday thru Friday. Weekends and overnight work may be required based upon customer/company requirements at any specific time.
- Travel: Requiring some travel. Weekend and overnight travel will be required based upon customer requirements and company needs. Attending trade shows and technical conferences as needed.
