Job description

The Sales Strategic Planning & Operations group is looking for an experienced business leader to help drive organizational planning, strategic initiatives, and overall operational excellence for Business Messaging sales and partnerships efforts at Meta. Business Messaging aims to be the preferred way businesses communicate with their customers. This leader will partner deeply with the leadership team of Business Messaging, and many cross functional teams, including sales, partnerships, marketing, finance, HR, etc. The primary objective of the role is to enable revenue growth through data-driven business strategies and efficient operations.This role requires someone who has a highly flexible skillset to juggle a range of tasks, including, but not limited to, resource planning and analysis, business goal definition, data-driven business reviews, sales pipeline reporting and analysis, internal communications, ad hoc data deep dive analysis, coordination and leadership of critical projects across the company, and contribution to team culture and values. The ideal candidate has passion for Meta’s platforms and products, especially WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram Direct, has a proven track record of proactive operational leadership in a cross-functional environment, and can move fast to drive results.

Sales Strategic Planning & Operations Lead, Business Messaging Responsibilities:
  • Lead and improve planning process, including but not limited to goal-setting, project prioritization, headcount planning, etc.
  • Frame decisions and contribute a strong point of view on how to scale the business
  • Partner closely with Sales and Partnerships leaders and internal stakeholders on key business initiatives, programs, and special projects
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business and be the person who can connect the dots between teams to identify areas for improvement, efficiency, and collaboration
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies
  • Combine qualitative information with data analytics to make comprehensive recommendations
  • Lead business reviews for the Business Messaging leadership team to drive decision-making and review progress on goals and priorities (e.g. monthly/quarterly business reviews, sales pipeline reviews). Present to an Executive audience.
  • Look for opportunities to build culture and help strengthen the organization
  • Drive key leadership and cross-functional meetings to facilitate alignment on opportunities and issues to address

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in Strategic Planning and/or business operations in the technology industry, messaging space, enterprise SaaS, or relevant industry
  • Experience leading strategy, operations, process improvement, and tactical projects. Experience solving complex business problems (commercial, operational, organizational) and driving projects from strategy to execution
  • Leadership and influencing skills – experience leading/influencing stakeholders at all levels of an organization
  • Experience working cross-functionally with leadership in developing and executing successful plans in an environment of fast growth and ambiguity
  • Results and detail oriented, with commercial/business acumen and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in spreadsheets (e.g. Excel, Google Sheets) and presentations (e.g. PowerPoint, Slides)
  • Experience shifting priorities, balancing multiple initiatives at once, and maintaining organization

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or graduate degree
  • Consulting background, experience in an advisory role, or relevant strategy/operations team
  • Experience developing and/or overseeing advanced quantitative analysis and derive actionable insights
  • Demonstrated interest for helping build great businesses and for Meta products, particularly for WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram products.
  • Experience in Enterprise SaaS businesses, sales operations, and programs (e.g. deal registration, pipeline management)
