As a Sales Representative, RETAIL-North, you are a crucial part of the Sales team at Gallo. You will incorporate self-confidence, enthusiasm, product knowledge, and creativity to represents all distributor products to Independent Retail establishments in a designated area.

Compensation:

• Starting Salary:  includes base $55,000 /annually in commission + incentives
• Union position

What You Will Do

• Conducts distributor business in an assigned territory containing 50 to 100+ accounts in such a way that an appropriate sales volume will be achieved.
• Conducts weekly wine tastings at customer locations.
• Through the use of business builders and trackers, pre-plans each call for maximum effectiveness.
• Gains knowledge of competitive sales trends and pricing in order to maintain specific pricing structures on all Gallo products.
• Knows the sales trends in each account, understands the business strategies and practices of each decision maker.
• Knowledge of products, promotional and merchandising programs to achieve and maintain 100% distribution achievement in every account.
• Demonstrates entrepreneurial spirit.

What you Need

• Bachelor's degree; OR Senior class standing at a college or university and a Bachelor's degree is successfully completed and confirmed by the time of hire OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years of sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 1 year of Gallo or affiliated or non-affiliated distributor merchandising or sales experience. 
• Must be 21 years of age or older. 
• Required to obtain a solicitor's permit as required by state/locality.
• Required to travel by automobile to perform job duties.
• Candidates for this position must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Required to obtain a New Jersey driver's license or appropriate state driver's license within 30 days of hire.
• Required to lift and move cases of product that weighs up to 60 pounds including lifting overhead.  
• Required to work weekends for special functions/events when necessary.
