Job Summary
We are seeking a Sales & Marketing Analyst to join our medical communications agency. In this role as Sales & Marketing Analyst, you will support our sales and marketing strategies, focus on analyzing market trends, sales data, and client interactions to provide insights that will support lead generation and prospect nurturing to enhance the growth of our medical communication and training services, focused in the life sciences industry. This position is integral in helping our agency understand, navigate, and influence the buying habits of executives in commercial and medical affairs roles in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
Job Responsibilities and Skills
- Support the Business Development Manager, VP of Marketing and VP of Business Development in gathering sales and marketing data, performing basic analyses to identify trends, cultivating lists of prospect targets for respective service lines, and supporting opportunities for new business pitches to pharmaceutical company decision-makers
- Help set up marketing and sales campaigns in the CRM/Market Automation platform and monitor the performance, assisting in the collection of data for effectiveness and impact analysis
- Work as part of a team, providing analytical and administrative support to respective divisional sales teams (as assigned), collaborate on the development and support the execution of marketing projects (as assigned)
- Participate in cross-functional team planning to develop sales forecasts and marketing strategies
- Generate reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders
- Assist in preparing sales and marketing materials, using data and insights from past campaigns and market research to inform content and target prospects for receipt.
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize sales and marketing processes and improve performance
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices to enhance sales and marketing strategies
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a similar field.
- 2-5 years of experience in a role involving sales and/or marketing analysis within a medical communications or pharma marketing-focused company.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, such as HubSpot, and marketing automation platforms
- Knowledge of Sales & Marketing analytics gained either from secondary education or from on-the-job training
- Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
- Team player with a willingness to learn and contribute to collaborative projects. Must have a "no job too small" attitude.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies and principles
- Medical Communications or Pharma Advertising Agency experience a plus
