Position: Sales Account Manager - Costco

Work Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid Remote)

Reports to: President

Working Hours: 9:00am - 6:00pm (M – F)

OVERVIEW

An international beverage manufacturer seeks a Sales Account Manager, primarily focusing on the Costco account on the upcoming in-store testing phase. Through meticulous account management and proactive engagement, ensure seamless product launches, foster robust relationships with Costco stakeholders, and formulate growth strategies that will catapult our brand to new heights within the Costco ecosystem. Your mission is to orchestrate a compelling and impactful presence, capitalizing on the unique opportunity of introducing our products to Costco's discerning customer base. The role is also responsible for cultivating and upholding robust relations with large national accounts such as Whole Foods, Target etc. eventually.

The ideal candidate possesses Costco account management experience, preferably within the food/beverage or consumer goods products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO:

Spearhead day-to-day business interactions with customers and external partners.

Formulate mutually beneficial solutions through a consultative selling approach with customers/brokers.

Serve as the primary liaison for Costco and other designated accounts, promptly addressing customer inquiries and concerns.

Anticipate customer needs and proactively provide appropriate solutions and support.

Collaborate closely with Distributor/Brokerage teams to devise and execute strategies for expanding national chain accounts.

Utilize category and consumer insights to propose customer-centric sales growth strategies.

Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and growth opportunities.

Coordinate with the Supply Chain Manager to resolve order-related issues or special requests.

Assist in promotional activities such as trade shows and other events.

Collaborate on additional projects and tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 5 years of account management experience with the Costco channel required, preferably within the food/beverage or consumer goods sectors.

Experience collaborating with distributor partners and catering to a diverse range of retailers preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

Ability to establish and maintain strong, productive relationships with customers and partners.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
