Sales Manager - Statue Cruises

Salary Range $55,000 - $60,000
City Experiences is seeking a Sales Manager for our Statue Cruises operation in Jersey City, NJ.

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.
About the Opportunity:
The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the Sales And Marketing efforts to the Tour and Travel industry. Overseeing special events including but not limited to, client interaction, billing/contracts as well as notifying all internal and external stakeholders. Primary responsibility is coordinating Special Event transportation to the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration and the Statue of Liberty National Monument. Works with designated Sales personnel at Evelyn Hills to ensure 100% client satisfaction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Tour and Travel

• Develop and maintain customer relations by attending networking functions and trade shows to support Tour and Travel relationships.
• Act as a point of contact for travel industry organizations.
• Maintain contact with all Tour Operators to ensure high level of satisfaction.
• Perform ongoing analysis and appraisal of the effectiveness of sales, methods and results.
• Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
• Perform Sales calls to manage tour and travel relationships.
• Establish programs and maintain relationships with hotel concierge.

Special Events

• Act as primary point of contact for all National Park Service special events.
• Maintain contact with Special Event clients to ensure high level of satisfaction as designated by Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
• Perform Sales calls to manage Special Events relationships.
• Responsible for the development and performance of all Special Events activities.
• Reporting on all special event activities and maintenance of a database of contacts, sales leads, bookings and completed sales.
• Prepare and execute charter contracts for special events taking place at Liberty Island, Ellis Island, private charters and film shoots.
• Plan, organize, and facilitate events taking place at Liberty Island, Ellis Island, as well as private charters and film shoots.
• Conduct follow-ups after the completion of the event to ensure client needs are met.
• Establish and maintain contact with all corporate groups to ensure a high level of satisfaction.

Customer Service

• Responsible for all Customer Responses as directed by Director of Sales & Marketing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Two years of experience in marketing, preferably in tourism or transportation industries.
• Proficient in Power Point and other presentation software.
• Experience with editing tools/software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop a plus.
• Experience creating and maintaining custom reports and dashboards.
• Highly efficient team player, with the ability to also work independently in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
• Process and quality-oriented with sharp attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

• Employees may be required to work nights and weekends depending upon work related projects.
