As a Sales Manager Domestic Trucking/Drayage/FTL you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to drive business growth and achieve agreed revenue and/or volume targets.
Experience / Skills:
- Experience in direct customer engagement with a convincing nature.
- ‘Hunter” mentality, able to focus on managing your own pipeline and obtaining / winning business from these customers.
- Own your own customer relationship that are transferable within reason.
- Be able to use rate tools, load boards etc. and construct rate offerings/quotes to end customer if needed.
- Commercially minded, being able to set sell rates that are competitive as well as profitable for the company.
- Experienced in presenting ocean services to end customer.
- People oriented, self-motivated.
- Contributor; be a part of our sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
Your Profile:
- 3-5+ years’ experience in Freight Forwarding sales, specialty focus on Trucking, Drayage, FTL moves but also Ocean Freight import and export all trades.
- Strong business leader: Action oriented, Ensures Accountability, drives engagement and results, and instills trust
- Great contact network within shipper communities.
- Team player with ability to work with cross-functional teams and all levels of management
- Ability to work under time pressures
- Good communication skills
- Accustomed to working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting and generating leads through various channels such as lead tools, cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to maximize customer satisfaction and retention.
