JOB DESCRIPTION
The KAM II is responsible for ensuring that Duracell is the preferred choice of battery for OEM devices. 60-70% of the responsibilities for this role will be spent supporting Key Account initiatives and strategic objectives, under supervision and guidance of the Professional OEM Director. 20-30 % will be spent managing smaller accounts and seeking new business opportunities. 5-10% will be spent enabling marketing teams to build Duracell equity through credentialing and ubiquity via OEM device partnerships. The Professional OEM KAM will leverage Duracell's market presence, as well as its product quality and performance to further strengthen brand equity in line with the company's strategy and guidelines, while safeguarding the assets of the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Existing Business Account Management
  • Build relationships with key decision makers to support long-term business objectives.
  • Lead joint Business Planning and participate in strategy meetings with customers. Co-develop strategies and create tactics to bridge customer objectives with company objectives.
  • Manage and develop an assigned account base to ensure annual budgeted revenue, contribution margin and product volumes are met.
  • Operational management of assigned account base, including account and product pricing, supervising and refining processes of order management, forecasting, customer service, technical services, product quality and trade support
  • Grow expertise in relative account categories by attending tradeshows, market research, and networking with industry experts.
  • Update management with forecast revisions and regular business updates on existing business, new opportunities, device trends, and competitor information
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal support team to meet customers' ongoing and changing needs.
New Business Development
  • Hunt and identify new business partnerships within existing and new OEM partners.
  • Qualify business opportunity on "risk vs. reward" rapidly after identification.
  • Upon identification and qualification, sell the Duracell value proposition (close sale)
  • Quickly on-board and build relationships with key decision makers at all levels on new business opportunity.
  • Operational management and cultivation of new business account; including product pricing, forecasting, customer service, and participate in joint sales calls with other internal and external sales team members.
  • Establish new accounts sustainability and growth path through development of business plan.
  • Grow existing customer base by identifying new incremental opportunities in existing and new verticals.

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of battery technology and device trends a plus.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Technical Skills
  • Salesforce, Zoom Info
  • Basic technical understanding of electrochemistry and power consumption
  • Experience using Microsoft Suite tools not limited to: Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Education & Experience: College degree (BA or BS minimum); MBA and/or Engineering degree a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of New Business development/B2B Industrial/professional/retail sales or related industrial/professional business development activities.
  • B2B/OEM sales experience with electronic components (battery category experience preferred)
  • Experience working with Contract Manufacturers and ODM's
  • Experience working with procurement, supply chain, and quality.
  • Experience working with various distributors and hospitality-based customers is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50% of the time) domestically. Some international travel may be required.
