Job description

As an Inside Sales Manager you will develop and deploy a sales strategy with a remote Inside Sales team and stakeholders. Collaborating cross-functionally with departments such as Marketing and Product Development, you will ensure the alignment of sales strategies with overall business objectives. While optimizing Inside Sales processes and leading customer relationship management, you will lead and build a mid-size, remote, high-performing Inside Sales team, and be responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, and developing metrics to ensure the team meets or exceeds sales goals and objectives.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hire, train, coach and lead a remote team of Inside Sales Representatives to be high- performing. A proven track record successfully building a growing team is essential.
  • Conduct ongoing training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the Inside Sales team.
  • Lead performance management of employees, provide recognition, coaching and ongoing feedback to enable success.
  • Administer annual Inside Sales Incentive Plan.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Set clear and achievable sales targets and objectives and actively manage and measure results.
  • Monitor and assess team performance against these goals, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Optimize the Inside Sales process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to streamline workflows.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key dealers.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and provide solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Generate regular reports on sales metrics, team performance, and market trends and utilize them to optimize, improve and measure results.
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
  • Keep the team informed about product updates, industry trends, and sales techniques.
  • Manage the budget allocated for Inside Sales activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maximizing return on investment.
  • Foster open communication within the team and with other departments.
  • Stay informed about changes in the industry, market conditions, and customer preferences.
  • Adapt sales strategies and approaches accordingly to maintain competitiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required, and a minimum of 4 years Sales experience or related field, with Inside Sales experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Inside Sales Manager or similar managerial role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with proven track record of building new teams
  • Highly organized, strong ability to influence cross-functionally
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated track record successfully conveying and driving sales strategies with a sales team and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
  • Results-driven with a focus on achieving sales targets
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time and consistently work across numerous time zones
