Due to continuous growth, we are adding a remote Sales Engineerto our Sales team in Southwest California. Our Sales Engineers work closely with the entire Sales team to deliver on our mission to provide Engineers & Technicians with superior, easy to use test technology.

As a Sales Engineerworking with our Sales team, you will:
- Accompany our Application Engineers on weekly domestic sales calls to existing and future customer sites across the country – But mainly in the West Coast of the US
- Travel to and assist with domestic tradeshows
- Research and develop contacts within targeted prospective customer accounts – as well as qualify leads and perform timely follow-up for successful closing of the sales within these accounts
- Support established accounts through regular customer visits - continue to expand existing customer accounts by suggesting related and new items
- Provide customers with proposals, cost estimates and quotes
- Create sales reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing sales information and trends
- Anticipate future customer needs/desires and translate those needs/desires to the VR team
- Grow into technical support for customers by eventually advising/troubleshooting on products and equipment leading trainings, and customer staff trainings
- Keep professional and technical knowledge current by attending workshops, reviewing publications, expanding networks, and participating in professional organizations
You will initially train with the VR Training and Education Team over the course of 3+ months to develop extensive and in-depth knowledge of VR products, services and equipment. Based on your growing, comprehensive knowledge of VR products and our customer’s business and technical needs, you will learn to diagnose and prescribe solutions. We invest heavily in our Sales team to not only provide exceptional customer service, but also in order to see you succeed!
We believe a successful Sales Engineerwill already be equipped with the following:
- Ability to travel to prospects and customers up to 30% of the time -domestic travel - required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, IT, or Engineering - required
- 1 - 2+ years of Business, Sales, Marketing, IT, or Engineering experience - preferred
- Experience in Salesforce or similar CRM - preferred
- A strong interest in the technical aspects of our products with the desire and aptitude to learn how to use them in various environments - required
- Strong, effective communication skills – listening, presentation, verbal, and written - required
- Solid business acumen - required
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills – required
- Unabating attention to details - required
- Ability to work effectively both within a team and independently - required
- Resilience and tenacity - required
