Motorsport Network’s commercial division leverages our influence on behalf of brands, orchestrating industry-defining sponsorship, advertising, and marketing partnerships.  Position Overview Motorsport Network is in search of a seasoned Sales Director to join our team as an individual contributor. With a minimum of 5 years of digital media sales experience, the ideal candidate will thrive in driving revenue growth not only through media sales but also through partnership and sponsorship sales. An appreciation and enthusiasm for motorsports and automotive are essential, with direct or indirect sports experience considered a valuable asset. Motorsport Network collaborates with brand partners spanning various sectors such as automotive, technology, financial services, travel, beverages, consumer packaged goods, apparel, footwear, watches, and luxury goods. This role presents a unique opportunity to take ownership of sales strategies, foster key client relationships, and unlock new business opportunities that propel Motorsport Network forward. 

Responsibilities: 

    Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies focused on digital media advertising, partnership, and sponsorship sales to meet and exceed revenue targets. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, media and sports marketing agencies, and potential partners, serving as the primary point of contact for all sales-related activities. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and strategic prospecting efforts. Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, editorial, and product, to develop customized advertising solutions and partnership packages that align with client objectives. Lead negotiations and contract discussions with clients and partners, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and agreements. Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities for growth and innovation. Provide regular sales performance updates and reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement. Represent Motorsport Network at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our brand and expand our network within the motorsport community. 

Skills/Requirements: 

    Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital media sales, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. Strong understanding of the digital advertising landscape, including programmatic buying, native advertising, and branded content. Experience in partnership and sponsorship sales within the sports or media industry is highly desirable. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and solutions to clients effectively. 
    Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities. Proactive, self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for motorsports and automotive. Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and conferences. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) is desirable. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. Results-oriented mindset with a commitment to driving revenue growth and achieving business objectives. 

Compensation  The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $130k-$160k per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus based on meeting OTE (“On-Target-Earnings). The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
