Director of Sales – Greensboro or Southeast
Our Greensboro-based client is seeking a Sales Director who will plan, direct and coordinate sales of our client’s SaaS platform in the healthcare industry in support of growing the monthly and annual recurring revenue (MRR & ARR) of the company. As Sales Director, you will be responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of effective sales strategies and revenue growth that align with their business goals. You will recruit, hire, train, and manage all associated sales personnel and collaborate with the Company’s Marketing Director on marketing and sales aids that promote sales of the Company platform. This is a permanent position with a base salary and competitive commission plan. The role also offers full benefits and can be based anywhere in the Southeast although the Triad area would be amazing.
Sales Management Essential Functions
  • Build, manage and maintain an effective sales organization designed to achieve company goals.
  • Direct and coordinate activities involving sales of client platform.
  • Manage and report from Company CRM, setting a direction for the organization’s Sales Ops.
  • Work with company executives to establish an effective business plan utilizing sales quotas, goals, objectives, and other management techniques to promote sales of company products.
  • Oversee and supervise sales personnel - including Sales Executives, Account Executives/Account Managers, Sales Coordinators (SDR) and other budgeted personnel.
  • Own and manage preparation and execution sales budgets.
  • Plan and direct staffing, training, performance evaluations to develop and control sales incentive plans and sales and service programs.
  • Regularly report to the leadership team on the sales pipeline and activities, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of sales metrics.
  • Support development of materials for board review on marketing and sales functions.
  • As needed, represent the company at trade association meetings to promote the platform.
  • Any other assigned sales related task.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Marketing and Sales — Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling platform features and functionality. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Market Knowledge — Knowledge and understanding of competitive landscape as related to our platform.
  • Technology skills — CRM knowledge, Google Suite, and other technology as required to fulfill Sales job requirements. Ability to understand new technologies and concepts.
  • Communication – Strong interpersonal capabilities; highly professional oral and written communication skills, including active listening skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate, make presentations, persuade, and influence key customer and employee stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Organization Skills – Proven ability to manage their own work-time and work-time and output requirements of sales associates. Ability to juggle and successfully prioritize multiple tasks and to meet deadlines.
Education and Certifications
  • BS/BA degree in business administration, marketing and sales or other relevant field.
  • 5 years direct SaaS sales experience a MUST and healthcare sales experience PREFERRED.
  • Proven track record of past success in SaaS sales.
  • Past leadership experience a must.
Working Conditions
  • Frequent travel (up to 50%) required.
  • Office environment when not traveling.
  • Frequent sales calls in hospital or medical office settings.
