Food Prep Worker

Hours: 6:30am-2:30pm

Overview:
We are seeking a Food Preparation Worker to join our team in the food industry. As a Food Preparation Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of our kitchen and catering services. Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, such as washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes or as instructed by the chef
- Assist in cooking and baking tasks under the supervision of the chef
- Set up and stock workstations with all necessary supplies
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist with menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes
- Collaborate with the chef and other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Adhere to dietary restrictions and special requests when preparing meals

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Food Preparation or kitchen role is preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety regulations
- Ability to handle knives and other kitchen tools safely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely preparation of meals
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Flexibility to work in different areas of the kitchen as needed
