GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Sales Development Specialist is a unique position dedicated to the growth of iFLY Orlando’s presence in the local tourism market. Your role will be focused on developing relationships with International Drive businesses that will drive flyers and events to the iFLY Orlando location. Primary goals include identifying partnerships in the area that can be leveraged to improve brand awareness and increase word-of-mouth advertising, as well as working directly with hotels and concierges to become a prominent destination for tourist entertainment. Your role will also include working directly with the tunnel's customer service team throughout the customer’s life cycle to ensure the delivery of a premium guest experience from start to finish.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leverage an in-depth understanding of iFLY’s products and the International Drive market to identify local partnerships that are mutually beneficial
  • Use CRM tools, cold calls, emails, and other communication avenues to connect with prospective partners and spur participation in affiliate programs
  • Engage and build rapport with decision-makers to initiate and foster participation in open houses and sales demos
  • Take charge of the logistics for open houses and sales demos, encompassing scheduling, dispatching invitations, follow-ups, and on-site coordination
  • Seamlessly execute the logistics of open houses and sales demos ensuring an immersive and captivating experience for all attendees
  • Cultivate and manage a pipeline of concierges and collaborate with the General Manager on subsequent engagements as needed
  • Continually evaluate and refine strategies to bolster engagement with concierge programs and other partnerships
  • Collaborate closely with the local leadership team to ensure outreach efforts align with the location’s revenue targets and iFLY’s priorities
  • Work with location’s customer service team to ensure flawless delivery of the flight experience to all customers acquired through concierge and third-party programs
  • Provide General Manager and Regional Director with weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance information, along with insights on each partner’s participation in the program and ideas to improve engagement
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required and are dependent on the needs of the business

 

WORK EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 1 year working on International Drive
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience with history of being a top performer
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools is a plus
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to time manage effectively
