Position Purpose
This is a newly created position with Flex, and will be focused on bringing in new business to the company by unlocking untapped growth markets. The incumbent is accountable for meeting/exceeding sales goals to grow Flex’s Consumer Driven Health Products (CDHP) and Compliance Services. Promote Flex’s products and services (FSA, HSA, HRA, Commuter, COBRA, etc.); build and foster new and existing broker and client relationships; and serve as a knowledgeable resource to insurance brokers and account managers. Relationship building is critical for this role. Our ideal candidate will be ready to jump into a fast-paced, high volume environment and is able to successfully develop and execute sales strategies and close deals. You are expected to come ‘batteries included’ with experience so that you can make meaningful impact to company growth targets and your own variable compensation in 2024and beyond.
Key responsibilities
Sales
- Consistently meets sales objectives, appointments, outbound calls and prospecting goals set by management.
- Identify and develop relationships with new brokers and clients.
- Cultivate relationships with existing brokers, carrier representatives and clients as necessary to increase sales opportunities.
- Identify, target and develop relationships with other entity types that can help develop sales opportunities
- Meet with leadership regularly to review sales performance and assess/strategize next week’s plans and objectives
- Develop custom proposals in a timely manner
- Manage and complete responses to RFPs.
- Follow up on all open opportunities in a timely manner until closed or won.
- Attend off-site meetings, appointments, and industry events to increase sales opportunities.
- Maintain a clean and updated CRM to effectively manage pipeline and data in CRM
- Respond to inbound phone and email inquiries
Communication
- Deliver effective technology demonstrations both virtually and on-site (when applicable)
- Present Flex and our products and services to new brokerage offices virtually and in-person
- Present to client employees to educate participants on the benefits of the products and how to utilize their benefits with Flex to maximize participation.
- Proactively communicate with brokers and clients to evaluate their level of satisfaction and solicit feedback on how service can be improved.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with internal staff to facilitate new sales.
- Be available on the inbound call center sales queue. Respond to calls and emails in a timely manner
Business Development
- Maintain a razor-sharp focus on developing and qualifying leads to drive additional sales opportunities through cold-calling, networking, and other lead-generation opportunities to maintain a healthy pipeline.
- Participate in the implementation of sales strategies to enhance sales efforts.
- Partner with Marketing in order to create new relationships for sales opportunities.
- Identify new growth opportunities and relationships types.
- Utilize social media to make connections, target potential buyers, develop network and communicate prospecting strategies.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience. Specialized training in CDHP benefits field is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 year of outside business-to-business sales or relationship building experience, benefits insurance related sales experience is a plus
- Experience delivering technology product demonstrations
- Experience in developing and nurturing productive client relationships.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets
- Proficient with MS Office – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
