Position: Sales Clerk Leader Salary: $18.52/hour

DUTIES:

Responsible for overall operations of all departments to include gas station and firearms. May order merchandise, receive, price, and monitor stock levels. In conjunction with store management may be responsible for price changes, markdowns, promotional sets, and signage. May communicate directly with HQ staff in the resolution of any special-order requests for customers or merchandise issues at store level.

Welcome customers, maintain product knowledge and help with the selection of merchandise. React to all concerns of customers quickly with a sense of importance. Provides outstanding customer service in the assistance to patrons in selection of goods or substitute items.

May operate a cash register and account for daily cash reporting in accordance with established procedures.

Key carrier, opening and closing the store as required.

May direct/supervise other employees and be responsible for overall store in absence of management.

Follow all policies regarding Loss Prevention. Be aware and proactive regarding shrink and the Alert Line.

Follow all established safety standards and emergency preparedness requirements.

Must follow strict adherence and compliance to all ATF, Federal, State and Local firearm rules and regulations pertaining to firearms and adhere to any changes as they occur. Ensure proper completion of federal form 4473; any applicable state forms and all ID and paperwork required for firearms sales. Ensures daily count of on-site firearms to ensure accurate control.

Store hours are Monday through Saturday 10 am - 5 pm and Sundays 10 am - 4 pm. Staff arrive an hour before opening to prepare the store and stay approximately 30 minutes after closing to finish the day. Will be required to work weekends and holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Minimum:

1. Prior retail experience in inventory control and sales.
2. Ability to routinely lift 25 pounds or more and stand for long periods of time.
3. Will be required to obtain State of Oregon Class B certification (training provided by company)
4. Current Seller ID per FFL (Federal Firearms License) process or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire and demonstrated ability to safely handle and show firearms.
5. Must be at least 21 years of age in accordance with Oregon state law for handling and selling firearms.

Preferred: (In addition to the minimum qualifications):

1. Experience operating a cash register and working knowledge of sales inventory.
2. Previous retail supervisory experience in the performance of the above referenced duties.
