Sales Associate /Range Safety Officer Job Description

• Present and sell firearms, accessories, memberships, and services to new and existing customers
• Reach agreed upon sales targets by the deadline
• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints
• Know and follow ATF regulations when transferring firearms
• Utilize point of sale system
• Research products for comparable prices
• Display products in an organized, clean, and professional way
• Restock shelves with product
• BSC Range Safety Officers are charged with supervising shooting activities as prescribed by the BSC Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and consistent with the range rules
• RSOs will complete NRA Range Safety training conducted by BSC instructors
• Enhance the security of firearms and equipment on the range
• Conduct basic inspection on the target system for all range sections, inspect backstops, target cable system and frames, downrange area, etc.
• Educate shooters about range and shooting policies and enforce those policies
• Conduct range safety briefings for shooting events and orientation for new shooters

Organize, conduct, and supervise safety and protocols in shooting activities
Be the first responder in charge during an emergency
Address and troubleshoot range malfunctions immediately

Sales Associate /Range Safety Officer Qualifications

• 21 years of age
• Basic math and computer proficiency
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Carry a pistol on duty, CCW preferred
• Able to stand on feet for long periods of time
• Robust firearm knowledge
• Extraordinary customer service skills
• Deadline and detail oriented
• Must pass drug screening
• Strong negotiation skills
• Must pass background check
• Basic first aid knowledge preferred
• Proficiency in handguns and rifles preferred
• Once hired, must pass NRA test with a score of 90% or better

Sales Associate Job Announcement:

Buckeye Shooting Center is a veteran ran gun range and shooting mega store. We began with just a father and two sons in an area no bigger than a broom closet. With a lot of firearm knowledge, many long hours, and an honest dedication to community, they were able to grow their small business to a magnificent shooting facility. Our state-of-the-art range offers 12 shooting lanes, classroom instruction to enhance every shooter’s capability, and all the firearm needs a person could ask for. In order to succeed, we are looking for energetic candidates to join and grow with our retail sales team as a Sales Associate. BSC Sales Associates initiate contact with customers in store, discovers their needs, and guides them through their firearm purchase. Sales associates will receive extensive training to operate our point-of-sale system, assist customers in selecting firearm accessories, and memberships. Most importantly, they will know and enforce ATF guidelines. Sales associates will ensure product is displayed in a neat, clean, and orderly manner. BSC Sales Associates are those that have achieved a high school diploma or equivalent, able to lift 50 pounds, able to stand for 2-3 hours at a time, and are required to carry a firearm at work.

For the Range Safety Officer (RSO) portion of the position, we are looking for like-minded and detailed oriented candidates who possess an outgoing personality to operate our state-of-the-art range. RSOs will gain substantial knowledge through our Training Academy taught by NRA certified instructors. Our RSOs will supervise and enforce BSC standard operating procedures to ensure safe operation of firearm usage in a controlled environment. RSOs will have a vast understanding of our target systems and will be able to troubleshoot any issues that might occur. Our RSOs will interact with people on a daily basis, from conducting initial safety briefings to educating shooters how to improve confidence and accuracy.

Qualified Range Safety Officers are those that are 21 years or older, physically able to stand for two to three hours at a time and stay engaged with everyone/everything in front of them. RSOs will be able to quickly respond to and advert potentially dangerous situations. We prefer that our RSOs have at least three years of firearm experience and/or military or first responder background, but it is not required.
