Job Title: Sales Cashier/Receptionist
Salary: $16.85 - 18 per hour + Tips ; Work is in several 5- 7 hour part or full time shifts--- either mornings ,afternoon or evening
Division: Dr. GreenThumb's (DGT) San Diego **There is a 21+ age requirement**
Reports To: Sales Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: Under the supervision of the Sales Manager, the Sales Cashier is responsible for welcoming customers, checking ID's, and taking payment for company products. This position may include working on the sales floor or being a receptionist in the dispensary or providing curbside support for online orders.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Checks customer identifications.*
- Greets customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Listens to customer needs and then directs them to appropriate products and purchases.*
- Answers questions about products and company services.*
- Follows Sales Manager and Sales Lead directions related to sales, cashier and receptionist duties.*
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn through on the job training.*
- Is willing to be cross-trained as a receptionist or cashier or curb-side roles
- Processes sales transactions.*
- Takes online orders
- Packages online orders for curbside or in-store employee pick-up
- Delivers packaged online orders to customers in cars
- Calculates the cost of products or services.*
- Accepts and deposits payments and can give change and record transactions*
- Calculates change when required.*
- Maintains adequate change denominations in the cash drawer and requests additional change in a timely manner in order to effectively maintain smooth sales operations.*
- Reconciles cash drawer, credit card payments and sales receipts in a timely and routine manner.*
- Reports issues with cashier equipment.*
- Assists the DGT team to keep the store clean and organizes inventory on the sales floor.*
- Checks and counts inventory and restocks when directed by the sales manager for inventory tracking.*
- Checks quantities of retail inventory for sale.*
- Reports changes in the quantities of inventory for sale.*
- Follows all company policies as well as laws related to monetary transactions.*
- Works collaboratively with data entry personnel when questions are asked about sales transactions.*
- Monitors compliance with standard operating procedures for loss prevention, physical security, or risk management.
- Possible monitoring of cameras for loss prevention purposes.
- Direct proper security operations.
- Communicates situation details to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare investigation or incident reports.
- Other sales Cashier/Receptionist/Curb-side duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software and cash machines and credit card machine equipment.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specialized Training:
- Ability to work at a cash register and cash based computer terminal
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:
- Positive upbeat personality is required
- Previous work experience in a guest services environment
- Previous restaurant, barista, cashier, hotel, or cannabis experience will receive priority consideration
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with flexibility

Pay: $16.85 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 28 per week
