Sales Assistant

Assist the Sales Department with Sales related activities and duties.

Essential Job Results:

1. Provide Sales Support throughout the company as needed. Includes answering the phone, handling the mail, following through on action items, and other support functions.

2. Assist the department by reading, researching, and routing correspondence, drafting, collecting and analyzing information, etc. The position will include researching and following through on questions, discrepancies and other inconsistencies in data. Utilize software to maximize efficiency.

3. Services Customers – Assists in customer service duties with the sales team. This may include taking incoming sales calls, entering orders, following up on customer inquiries, and performing other customer service tasks as needed. Examples include answering product and service questions and in some cases suggesting information about other products and services.

4. Maintains Company, Professional and Technical Knowledge – by understanding and continuing to enhance their knowledge of the company and the industry, products, and applications.

5. Contributes to Team Effort – by striving for excellence in quality by following applicable procedures and work instructions. Displaying positive attitude and ability to communicate effectively. Performing other related duties as requested.

Requires strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Power Point or like programs. Expectation is that after training employees will become proficient with the company’s business software (Microsoft AX) and continue to utilize technology to improve job and department performance.

Organization and multi-tasking skills are essential. Attention to deadlines, details, and timeliness are critical to success in this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
