Under general supervision, provides assistance to the Sales and Marketing staff in the by performing a variety of duties aimed at increasing company sales, enhancing marketing efforts and contributing to the development and implementation of strategies. Obtains job experience, working knowledge, and understanding of the CDS Global Sales and Marketing Team processes and functions through the internship.
Work Location: The intern will have the opportunity to work from a home or other approved remote work location on Monday and Friday as business needs allow.
The intern must work at the CDS Global Des Moines Bell Avenue facility Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
- Maintains confidentiality of CDS and its clients' proprietary information.
- Distributes marketing materials as requested.
- Conduct market research on market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities.
- Analyze sales data and Marketing metrics to measure performance.
- Assists with marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, and direct mail)
- Prepares detailed promotional presentations.
- Monitors social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback.
- Researches and evaluates competitor marketing and digital content.
- Completes assigned CDS Global training.
- Organizes tasks and resources to complete work and meet deadlines according to established departmental procedures.
- Obtains job experience, working knowledge, and understanding of the CDS Global Sales and Marketing Team processes and functions through the internship.
- Interacts cooperatively and professionally with all levels of employees, vendors and/or clients in a team-oriented environment.
- Assumes additional duties as required or requested.
- Adheres to CDS Global attendance policies.
EDUCATION AND/OR CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND LICENSING
- Current and ongoing enrollment in an accredited college and/or university while working toward completion of Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Management, Advertising, Public Relations Communications, Entrepreneurship, Economics or related degree.
- Must be at Junior standing (or equivalent) and minimum overall G.P.A. of 3.0.

- PC knowledge/skills; keying, data entry, and preparation of typed documentation using Microsoft Excel or Word do, or related software.
