ABOUT the position:
THC infused beverages are widely predicted to be the fastest growing category of THC products for many years to come, although they currently represent less than two percent of the overall THC market. This is a once in a generation opportunity to not only be part of the development of a new category of adult beverage, but to craft the path that development takes. Learning what the market wants from these products and creating a welcoming experience as the market adopts these new products will be a big part of the job. You will be interfacing with owners and purchasing managers at licensed THC retail stores, so having passion for the products and awareness of cannabis culture will be important. This opportunity warrants a serious approach to Sales and merchandizing, but at the end of the day if we are not having some fun, we will have missed the point of being in the THC space. We are seeking someone who can match our enthusiasm and complement our existing core competencies.
PURPOSE:Sales and Marketing Associate
Based in MA. Establish, call on and manage MA market of key accounts and independent dispensaries. Develop marketing materials for accounts (digital and physical assets).
Responsibilities/functions:
- Create both digital and physical marketing assets for brands and accounts
· Account Management/Service
- Establish new accounts
- Wholesale ordering platform (Apex) onboarding and training
- Ongoing Apex order monitoring
- Ordering and delivery services oversight and issue resolution
- Fielding ordering questions
- Handling order and product errors (wrong cases delivered, damaged product, etc.)
Sales Support for house brands
- Support of brands
- Regular contact with accounts to promote sale of brands
- Drive reorders
- Monitor product facings and placing in stores
- Pop ups/Tastings
- Managing the pop-up scheduling
- Collateral and merchandising distribution
- Brand education
- Promo and rewards program management
· Monitoring of sales performance and category
- Collect and organize sales data for Novel products and competitor products in territory
- Research beverage sales category data nationally and globally
- Prepare and present sales data materials to Novel management
· New sales strategies
- Research and present new sales strategies to managment
· Social media
- Regularly post and manage content on Novel Brand Co social media platforms
Experience and Skills
- Min 3+ years of key account management sales experience with proven record of success
- Graphic design and Marketing experience required
- Adobe creative suite
- Results-oriented
- Self-starter
- Strong organizational skill set
- Leadership and coaching skill set
- Solid analytical skills
- Strong team player but also possessing the ability to work independently
- Ability to engage a crowd and naturally outgoing personality
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Understanding of both marketing & sales fundamentals
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Knowledge of the cannabis business space
- Outstanding presentation building skills using syndicated data for fact-based selling
- PowerPoint and Excel proficient
- Access to a vehicle, have a valid driver's license and insurance on the vehicle
