Sales Advisor

A Sales Advisor at a UPS Store is a dynamic and customer-focused role responsible for providing exceptional service to customers, assisting with transactions, and supporting various store operations. The Sales Advisor will handle a wide range of duties, including package handling, sorting mail, executing printing orders, operating office equipment, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring a positive customer experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with transactions, including package handling and sorting mail according to destination.
• Receive, prepare, and execute all orders for printing, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Operate copiers, fax machines, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices with proficiency.
• Handle high volume customer calls, providing outstanding customer service and effectively addressing inquiries.
• Review and analyze labels to ensure proper processing and adherence to UPS guidelines.
• Perform reconciliation of cash, checks, and credit card transactions, maintaining accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Take responsibility for opening and closing the UPS Store, ensuring security measures are followed.
• Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Provide excellent customer service by understanding customer needs, recommending appropriate services, and resolving issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including display areas and merchandise.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Previous experience in a customer service or sales-oriented role is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, and point-of-sale devices.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced and high-volume work environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
• Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and reconciliation.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
