- Assisting with product costing for quoting new business opportunities.
- Setting up new items to include providing information for bill of materials (BOM) and labor routing.
- Updating BOMs and routing under direction of product manager.
- Works with sales or customers to gather missing information on new products.
- Calculates item cost based on information from various sources and departments.
- Provides customers with accurate information regarding pricing, order minimums, and product characteristics. Assist in the sample process and maintain records of samples sent.
- Compiles sample packets including sample request form and work order, and delivers to production.
- Completes all item setup documentation for new products.
- Completes needed documentation to create or update BOMs and routings for accurate cost data in system from information supplied by product manager.
- Communicate with Customers via phone, email, virtual meetings and email. This could include working with managers across numerous departments.
- Receives and processes incoming sales orders via all sources such as fax, incoming mail, customer portals and e-mail.
- Obtains and confirms current pricing for new sales orders from sales via current quote or system price files.
- Communicates to customer any conditions that affect fulfillment of customer orders; i.e. scheduling changes, material availability, pricing, shipping.
- Works closely with internal personnel, production, quality, shipping, and management regarding customer needs.
- Maintains customer files including, sales order and quote for each file within a commonly accepted filing system.
- Works with shipping on documentation, and shipping priorities.
- Ensure all invoices are thoroughly processed through the system, researches discrepancies, verifies and issues credits.
- BOM, routing, costing and quoting experience is a must.
- Strong attention to detail.

- Data management experience.
- A strong candidate will have excellent skills in the areas of communication (both written and verbal), organization (physical and electronic), collaboration and interpersonal interactions.
- Excellent computer and typing skills.
- Advanced in Microsoft applications.
- Excellent math skills.
- Knowledge of reading CAD drawings.
- Email etiquette.
