Caregiver: Overnight Shift

Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to join our team at Symphony of Wimberley. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to our residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being within a warm and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility (walking, transferring, etc.).
• Mealtime Assistance: Support residents during mealtimes, offering assistance with feeding, ensuring proper dietary needs are met, and creating a positive dining atmosphere.
• Resident Monitoring: Conduct regular rounds and observation, noting any changes in resident health, behavior, or condition. Report observations promptly to the supervising nurse.
• Emotional Support: Provide companionship, engage in meaningful conversation, and offer emotional support to residents, promoting their overall well-being.
• Environment and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized resident living space, address potential safety hazards, and follow infection control procedures.
• Documentation: Complete accurate and timely charting and documentation related to resident care.
• Incident Reporting: Immediately report any incidents, accidents, suspected abuse, or changes in a resident's condition to the appropriate supervisor.

Qualifications

• CNA/CMA Certification: Preferred, but not always strictly required.
• Experience: Prior experience working with seniors in a caregiving setting is highly valued.
• Compassion and Empathy: A genuine desire to help others and a patient, understanding nature.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow caregivers, nurses, and other members of the care team.
• Physical Requirements: This role may involve lifting, transferring, bending, and prolonged periods of standing.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.22 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 12 per week
