The primary purpose of the Sales Account Manager is to initiate, develop, and maintain a relationship with our strategic distribution partners, agent network and the Cree Lighting team. This individual will be self-motivated and require a technical aptitude. Lighting knowledge is beneficial! Excellent communication skills and experience working across an organization are critical components to success. Travel is national and on average 50% of the time.


Consistently meet and exceed Cree Lighting revenue targets.

Travel extensively to develop high level relationships with key regional and national influencers throughout the assigned account’s organization.

Work closely with senior leaders and agency sales force to ensure partnership across the entire geographical footprint. 

Drive commercialization of Cree Lighting portfolio – primarily in the stock and discretionary business segments.

Work in conjunction with Cree Lighting RVPs, RSMs and National Accounts sales teams to build strong partnerships with strategic channel partners.

Develop annual business plans supported with firm revenue targets.

Identify and propose new product opportunities based on customer needs, timing, and compliance with Cree Lighting core competencies, competitive intensity, and general segment attractiveness.

Independently manage various activities with minimal supervision.


Demonstrated history of sales/business development success.

Proven Ability to gain trust and respect from customers including executive teams, sales teams, and key stakeholders.

Experience with Energy based economic analysis tools (NPV, ROI, IRR).

Sound technical aptitude with well-formed business and financial acumen.

LC certified.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, Business or Marketing degree preferred.

5-7 Years of key accounts sales experience, lighting industry experience preferred.

Knowledge of marketing strategies and tactics, basic market research techniques, product demonstration, and sales techniques.

Proficient in Office 365 and applicable programs.

Excellent presentation and written communication skills
