Pacific Palms Resort is the only full-service luxury golf and conference resort in Los Angeles County. Our unique glorious hilltop location set against the majestic San Gabriel Valley Mountains is looking for a dynamic & highly motivated experienced Sales Account Manager.

 

The Sales Account Manager Responsible for the National, State and Association Market Segment.  Expected to identify, meet with and solicit clients and accounts that utilize hotel rooms in the Southern California area.  These rooms will be for client group travel. Position is an on-property position. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • High energy and results driven individual with previous hotel sales experience
  • Self-starter and able to utilize strong time management skills
  • Daily activities include cold calls, telemarketing, site visits, outside calls, networking and prospecting for clients
  • Must have the ability to meet / exceed established sales goals
  • Work hand in hand with associations to maximize room nights
  • Develop & update association action plans and Top 10/20/30
  • Continue to follow-up on existing accounts
  • Responsible for New business development on a National scale
  • Helps create SOP’s to support account distribution
  • Is required to mentor “green” or new sales staff
  • Must be able to travel to feeder cities to develop client relationships

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Helps with Pace Report, GRC Meetings, Yield Meetings and Individual Goals. 
  • Should be familiar with RFP process and different GDS systems
  • Requires multiple years at multiple properties in a hotel sales management position, with experience in the National market
  • Strong sales skills including prospecting, negotiating and closing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Food & beverage and conference servicing knowledge
  • Experience in Association Markets is a MUST.
  • Should have applicable hotel/conference/resort protocol and procedure knowledge
  • Must possess the ability to professionally represent the property
  • Any and all reasonable requests of management.

Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service practices
  • Adherence to departmental and property standards and procedures
  • Teamwork: Works efficiently and effectively as member of a team; communicates and cooperates with property staff
  • College Degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience in the Los Angeles marketplace preferred. Due to time constraints applicants should be from the Southern California area.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Hospitality Group Sales with a proven track record of accomplishing financial goals.
  • Job entails some air & travel requirements.  Trips may exceed 1 per week and may range from 1 day to 5 days.  Must be willing to travel.  
  • Position is an on-property position. This is not a remote/work from home position. (Please do not apply if this is your expectation)
