The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of account managers, setting sales targets, developing strategies to achieve them, and ensuring effective communication between team members and clients. This role involves analyzing sales data, identifying areas for improvement, and providing guidance to enhance overall team performance. Additionally, the manager should foster a positive and collaborative team environment, as well as cultivate strong relationships with key clients to drive business growth. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential for success in this role. The Manager of a Sales Account Management Team plays a pivotal role in driving revenue, maintaining client satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the Sales Account Management team to achieve targets and objectives.
2.Goal Setting: Establish clear sales goals and performance metrics for the team.
3.Strategy Development: Formulate sales strategies and action plans to meet organizational sales targets.
4.Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction.
5. Performance Analysis: Analyze sales data and team performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
6.Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
7. Communication: Foster effective communication within the team and across departments to ensure a cohesive and collaborative work environment.
8. Problem Resolution: Address challenges and obstacles faced by the team, offering guidance and solutions to overcome them.
9. Budget Management: Manage the sales budget, allocating resources effectively to maximize results.
10. Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly.
11. Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
12. Reporting: Prepare and present reports on sales performance, forecasts, and key metrics to senior management.
13.Client Acquisition: Collaborate with the team to identify and pursue opportunities for expanding existing accounts.
14. Adherence to Policies: Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and industry regulations.
15. Innovation: Encourage innovation and creative problem-solving within the team to stay ahead in the market.
16. Customer Satisfaction: Monitor customer satisfaction levels and implement measures to enhance overall client experience.
17. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing and product development, to align strategies and achieve overall business objectives.
18. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks that may impact sales performance and client relationships.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in business or sciences and/or 3-5 years of SAAS Sales leadership experience. Prior experience in the restaurant industry, supplier, employee or consultant preferred.
