Safety Specialist

The construction Safety Specialist will serve as oversight for our commercial and solar construction projects throughout the Sacramento area. This position will help ensure work locations are in full compliance with federal, state, and OSHA requirements pertaining to electrical and construction safety.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Identify and correct potential hazards and help ensure best known methods and safety regulatory compliance are in place
• Work with the operations team on any building or equipment issues which may involve environmental or safety issues
• Regularly update, maintain, and improve safety manual content
• Work around energized equipment
• Conduct or coordinate employee training in areas of field safety orientation, safe work standards, hazardous condition monitoring and use of safety equipment
• Enforce our "safety first culture"

Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Strong background in electrical safety and lockout/tagout
• Extensive knowledge of electrical safety (NFPA 70 and 70E)
• OSHA 30
• Ability to work in varying temperatures (extreme heat, cold, depending on the time of year)
• Construction Safety: 5 years preferred.
