- Direct operational aspects of security officers; monitor security staff to ensure compliance with company policies. Ensure day-to-day monitoring of the property's safety and security function.
- Hire, train, supervise, coach and discipline security personnel. This includes an onboarding program, ongoing training, emergency drills, and guest and staff interaction expectations.
- Outline specific post assignments and specific duties for each officer; ensure officer(s) are on post at the required time; notify venue leadership regarding any changes in staff schedule. Attend pre-shift meetings; relay event information to the security staff for shows/events; manage public safety and employee or guest conduct issues.
- Perform safety and security duties, including maintaining order, directing traffic, checking identification and enforcing policies as outlined in defined procedures, including age- and alcohol-related policies.
- Respond to emergencies (such as medical, fire, weather, etc.), assist guests as necessary, and help coordinate evacuation procedures. Collaborate with local law enforcement and first responders on all emergency calls, handling of the incident and recovery afterward.
- Assist patrons and employees needing medical attention while awaiting arrival of emergency medical personnel. May be required to administer minor first aid, CPR, and AED.
- Interact with clients, artists, VIPs, dignitaries, etc., to coordinate special security/protection needs; appropriately respond to guest requests, concerns and complaints.
- Conduct safety and security audits and inspections; oversee safety and security system evaluations and ensure proper maintenance of all systems.
- Prepare incident, accident and other reports that may be required. Track incident resolution, gather all related and necessary information, document the details of the incident and enter into official computerized records management system. Investigate internal and external losses and advise on loss prevention.
- Partner with venue leadership to prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts and conduct P&L oversight/management.
- Serve as liaison between the venue and metro, state and federal authorities and agencies; network with industry colleagues. Develop networks to gather and assimilate local threat and intelligence information, garner assistance with investigations and prosecutions, and produce best practice recommendations.
- Communicate and uphold all corporate standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Maintain personal integrity by abiding by and supporting the company's values and principles. Follow and support brand standard operating procedures (SOPs). Participate and respond to the annual company audits.

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years of verified security, law enforcement or military experience required
- Background in law enforcement or security with entertainment/ hospitality venue and crowd
control experience preferred - Demonstrated experience in handling and diffusing stressful scenarios, i.e., verbal or physical confrontations
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and nonverbal communication skills
- Knowledge and proper use of alarms, surveillance, and recording systems relative to internal investigations
- Working knowledge of occupational safety and fire protection, NFPA codes, OSHA compliance, DOT compliance, property protection, regulatory training, regulatory inspections and emergency operations
- Ability to work extended hours with some physical stress
- Proficient computer skills required
- State Alcohol Education Card required upon hire
- Must complete Crowd Management training upon hire
- Must complete OSHA 10-Hour Training within 90 days of hire
