SalaryLabatt Food Service is looking to fill a position in their Houston DC for an experienced Safety Manager.
This position will be responsible for the following:
- Conduct weekly warehouse safety meetings
- Conduct new employee orientation for operations and transportation employees
- Conduct DOT orientation for newly hired drivers
- Maintain driver qualification files
- Investigate and report all accidents
- Maintain accident reports and work with insurance companies on all vehicle accidents
- Oversee the work injury program
- Organize and conduct quarterly safety meetings
- Inspect and maintain all safety equipment
- Works to ensure that the company stays in compliance with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Attend training programs available to further knowledge of federal safety programs
- Purchase safety equipment as needed
- Manage Access Control department and security procedures
- Complete any other special assignments or tasks as directed by management
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
