The Opportunity:
As a seasoned Safety-Critical Solutions Architect at Booz Allen, you'll use the latest techniques to ensure our client's needs are met. Using your expertise, you'll help develop and maintain processes, procedures, and standards to be used throughout the company to execute safety-critical projects. You will help bring new business to the firm by providing technical input on proposals for how Booz Allen will meet any safety-critical needs. You will lead cradle-to-grave safety-critical projects from planning to final certification, and guide team members and subcontractors throughout the process.
At Booz Allen, you will manage technical teams for developing products for safety-critical systems for military customers. You'll apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts. You will contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. You'll work directly with team members, leads, customers, and suppliers to ensure safety and security are at the forefront of every product. You will operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed actions or decisions. Finally, you will mentor or supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies.

You Have:

• 8+ years of experience with embedded software
• 5+ years of experience with safety-critical software development following standards, including RTCA DO-178C
• Experience in leading teams on safety-critical projects
• Experience with performing software life cycle activities across multiple projects
• Experience in root cause, corrective action, and continuous improvement activities
• Knowledge of full software life cycle and associated audit activities
• Knowledge of DO-178C and supplements
• Knowledge of AS9100D and AS9115A
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with embedded C and C++
• Experience with Python
• Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems
• Experience with Stage of Involvement Audits, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, and Test Readiness Reviews
• Experience with configuration management tools, including PTC Windchill and Git
• Experience with working on a safety-critical project from cradle-to-grave
• Experience with verification analyses required for safety-critical software
• Experience in working with the DoD
• Experience with writing or updating processes, procedures, checklists, and templates
• Experience with Agile teams

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
