About the role
We are looking for a qualified Sales Account Executive (AE) to join our sales team. As an AE you’ll be selling our SaaS platform Wayste to vendors in the waste and recycling industry. The right AE has at least 2+ years B2B experience, selling in a SaaS capacity is a plus. We want aggressive go-getters who are customer obsessed and smart enough to see every "no" as an invitation to finding the next "yes". This job is ideal for someone who thrives in a high pressure environment, enjoys interacting with people and taking on challenges. Ultimately, you should be able to increase sales and build successful long-term client relationships. Wayste is a vertical SaaS platform that allows for plenty of upsell and cross-sell opportunities even after the initial sale.
Requirements
Role requirements
- 2+ years of B2B sales, selling SaaS in a similar type of role is a plus.
- You must be customer obsessed, tech-enabled, and comfortable with tech/product feedback.
- You have experience closing sales and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Ability to commute into our Jersey City, NJ office.
- A strong understanding of the SaaS business model and technology.
- You are able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, grit, and desire to challenge yourself.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic, capable of delivering on aggressive target metrics in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings and industry events if need be.
- Prior experience in the waste & recycling, construction, trucking, or similar industry is a plus.
Your responsibilities
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets by selling Wayste’s suite of solutions.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to negotiating to the close.
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Collaborate with our team to develop customized solutions for customers.
- Understand customer requirements and communicate how our Wayste solution can meet these needs.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential customers.
- Build long lasting relationships with your customers by partnering with them to understand their needs and offer them the most relevant solutions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activity.
