Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Medical Transcriptionist to join our team. As a Medical Transcriptionist, you will be responsible for transcribing medical reports dictated by healthcare professionals into written documents. Your attention to detail and knowledge of medical terminology will ensure accurate and efficient transcription. Duties: - Listen to recorded dictations from healthcare professionals and transcribe them into written reports - Review and edit transcriptions for accuracy, grammar, and clarity - Ensure that transcribed reports are formatted correctly and adhere to established guidelines - Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow HIPAA regulations - Communicate with healthcare professionals to clarify any unclear dictations or obtain additional information - Manage workload and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines Skills: - Proficient in medical office procedures and practices - Excellent typing skills with a high level of accuracy - In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology - Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors or inconsistencies in transcriptions - Familiarity with medical transcription software and tools - Good communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals Education and Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent required - Completion of a medical transcription training program preferred - Previous experience as a Medical Transcriptionist is a plus Note: This position must be paid including internship positions.
