DeLallo’s is looking for a developer to join our IT team to work on our ERP system, which is a key system of our business operations. This position will be an integral part of the team enabling successful utilization of the ERP system by DeLallo’s.
In this opportunity you will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining custom code for the S2K ERP system, which is written in RPG.
- Understanding and supporting all RPG code, including code written by our third-party partner as part of the company’s ERP implementation
- Translating business requirements into robust and reliable code that helps run the business efficiently and effectively.
- Applying system analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine functional specifications for the company’s computer software system.
- Performing system analysis, testing, configurations, and modifications based on system design specifications.
- Acting as the primary liaison between IT and the business for development
- Engaging software vendor partners as needed for unresolved issues.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Experience working with RPG as a developer and proficiency in IBM I-Series (AS/400) technologies RPG IV (ILE), DB2/400 RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, RPG Free Format
- Experience with developing new RPG applications as well as supporting existing applications.
- Knowledge of programming practices and techniques, especially in designing, coding, testing, and debugging applications
- Proven understanding of relational database concepts and principles
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ERP software solutions (Experience with S2K is a plus)
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- A strong sense of ownership and accountability for your work
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field - or relevant work experience
Location & Requirements:
- This position is open to work remote.
- Working hours for the position are 8am to 5pm eastern.
Travel:
- This position may require travel to various company locations based on project requirements and needs.
