To succeed as a Rooftop Cocktail Server, you should have a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.
Responsibilities:
- Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine food and beverage preferences, making recommendations, upselling, and taking orders
- Deliver all beverages in a timely fashion
- Running food whenever needed to both your tables and your teammates
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and appearance of your section
- Collect customer payments and provide a change in a timely and courteous manner
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server
- Ability to memorize all the ingredients in both the menu as well as daily/weekly specials
- General knowledge of wine, cocktails, and beer
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to effectively listen to and respond to customer needs
- Must have a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask efficiently
- Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons,
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong task and time management abilities
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc. for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
