This role is cross-functional being 30% Technical, 30% Project Management, and 40% Sales & Business Development.
- Working on various stages of robotic projects both pre and post sales with the technical team: System Sizing, Simulation, Proof of Concept, Commissioning, Troubleshooting, Testing and Debugging.
- Work with the customers and sales teams to understand system requirements. Be able to communicate these requirements effectively to the technical team.
- Project manage opportunities to make sure they are moving forward, and action is being taken. This may include being the liaison between the customer, GCG salesperson, GCG technical contacts, and GCG integration partners.
- Preparing and assisting in preparation with quotes. Working with the customer service and sales teams to do so.
- Gather product information from various sources (catalogues, manuals, order forms, etc.) and organizing it into an accessible and easy-to-use format.
- Becoming the undisputed product expert for the autonomous robot product lines and providing effective technical support to sales teams as well as customers.
- Developing and maintaining extensive knowledge of product offerings, specifications, order codes, etc. to assist sales staff, customers, and customer service with product selection.
- Educate and train sales staff, customer service, and marketing regarding basic robotic principles, pricing, and product information.
- Providing sales support for pricing and strategies for autonomous robotic products. Works with the sales staff to ensure they understand product highlights and features and to develop talking points for customer calls.
- Staying abreast of industry updates, changes, and trends and identifying gaps in products.
- Developing and conducting presentations about robotics products to various audiences.
- Participating in company podcasts or videos regarding the assigned product lines supported by this role.
- Occasionally working on various stages of robotic projects: System Sizing, Simulation, Proof of Concept, Commissioning, Troubleshooting, Testing and Debugging.
- Developing close relationships with key robotic integration partners and end-customers.
- Exercising project management skills by assisting with quoting, budgeting and project timelines.
- Assisting in managing supplier relationships with robotic product group manufacturers.
- Assisting in preparing annual budget and planning for the Robotics group.
- Attending planning sessions with sales to set strategies for product sales growth.
- Engineering degree or Technology Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronics, Systems Design, or related program. Commensurate experience will be considered for qualification.
- Desire to learn new technology and be a technical expert.
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
- Customer Satisfaction oriented mentality.
- High energy/high focus.
- Ability to juggle many competing priorities and deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Industrial networks and manufacturing processes beneficial but not required.
