Primary Duties:
- Understand, trouble-shoot and support entire robotic welding processes.
- Perform inter-pass cleaning and in-system repairs as needed.
- Read/comprehend blueprints, bill of materials, customer specifications, weld procedures to plan layout, fit-up fabricated components.
- Develop templates and models for welding projects.
- Fit and tack assemblies as well as perform joint preparation per job instructions.
- Ensure dimensions of completed products meet tolerance specifications.
- Examine workpieces for defects and remove rough spots using grinders, files or scrapers.
- Maintain and complete all required records and production documents accurately and neatly.
- Interface with Quality Management Team to ensure all company, client's procedures and scope of work is adhered to.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area & support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible.
Schedule:
- Full Time position
- 10-hour or 8-hour shifts
- Day Shift (possible 2nd shift in the future)
- Monday – Friday
- Some weekend if required to meet schedule, overtime announced the Wednesday prior.

Required Experience:
- Welding capabilities, knowledge and experience; and working knowledge of welding equipment and processes.
- Weld Certified, or ability to pass certification tests and weld for the robotic welding processes above, including certification for those processes.
- Proficiency in Welding procedures, plasma cutting, oxyfuel cutting required.
- Be able to make RT & UT weld repairs preferred (or ability to learn welding required)
- Familiar with GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, GTAW & SAW welding processes.
- Ability to learn basic robotic programming and trouble-shooting
- Blueprint, BOM, Customer Specifications, Weld Procedures, weld symbols, scope documentation and Written Instruction proficiency
- Ability to safely utilize overhead cranes and other lift assists.
- Problem-solving (Yes! We want you to think and share your ideas!)
- Willingness to be flexible with job duties to meet plant and customer requirements (If you’ve been in this business a while, you know that the customer rules, so sometimes we have to be flexible!)
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, climb steps, lift 50 pounds or push/pull 100 pounds following safety procedures & use a ladder following safety procedures.
