This position is responsible for the preparation of products made from mild steel, aluminum, or stainless steel up to 1/2” thick using automation principles in accordance with defined guidelines.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Run proficiently the assigned automated work-center to achieve production goals as defined by supervision.
- Aluminum welding experience
- Run production as required.
- Correctly prepare tools and fixtures as required to produce product in accordance with provided blueprints/work instructions.
- Understand and perform knowledge of spot-weld techniques/best practices to ensure part conformity.
- Accurately post, issue, and receipt production orders as determined by supervision.
- Participate in preventative/daily maintenance in accordance with defined guidelines.
- Willingness to learn and operate additional equipment as determined by supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to finish product with grinders, sanders and other various hand tools.
- Ability to interpret blueprints/weld symbols to ascertain product specifications and perform in-process inspections.
- Safely move material using forklift and/or pallet jack.
- Maintain a clean and orderly working area in accordance with defined guidelines.
- Communicates effectively with other team members to direct personal workflow.
- Promote teamwork, continuous improvement and adherence to company policies, process and procedures.
- Demonstrate quality and safety consciousness.
Education and Experience
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent may be required.
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
- Operation & Programming skills for robotic machines.
- Ability to interpret blueprints/shop drawing aids.
- Read tape measures, calipers, and other measuring equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
- Understand/support company policies and procedures.
- Excellent attendance.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Physical Requirements
- Lift, carry, push and or pull 1 – 50 lbs frequently.
- Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
- Sit, stand and walk for 1 – 10 hours per day.
- High mental and visual acuity while in coordination with manual dexterity for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
Work Site Environment
- Ability to work in a 55 – 85-degree Fahrenheit work environment.
