Responsibilities:
- Operate and oversee robotic weld machines
- Perform manual and automatic GMAW welding, assembling parts with precision fixturing
- Ensuring compliance with cosmetic and structural specifications.
- Troubleshoot and operate complex fixtures
- Adapt to changing production needs, and deliver high-quality results
- Minimal machine maintenance
- Operate equipment, hand tools, and a forklift
- Utilize windows-based computers
- Lift up to 50lbs and climb a ladder.
- Perform math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities that result in reducing variation and waste in the manufacturing process.
- Using a specified training format, work closely in training new welders.
- Lift and position parts into fixtures
Skills:
- Experience operating robotic welder is a plus but not required.
Qualifications:
- Able to pass internal weld certification test within 6 months of employment.
- A minimum of three years of direct experience in production welding or a certified welding certificate and two years of production welding experience.
- Able to learn minimal machine maintenance, operate equipment, hand tools, operate a forklift and utilize windows-based computers
- Able to lift up to 50lbs and climb a ladder.
- Knowledge of decimals, fractions, and metric/English conversions
- Able to be on their feet for up to twelve hours using their hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear around machinery. They will also be required to frequently walk, stoop, kneel or crouch.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus on optical devices.
- Passing a pre-employment screening, drug screen included.
- HS diploma or equivalent.
