Job Description
BASIC PURPOSE
Collaborates with other members of the health care team to promote optimum patient care.
Uses the nursing process to carry out the functions and responsibilities as defined by the Nursing
Practice Act and BRN 138.12.2.
Applies principles and theories of the psycho-social and physical sciences in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and modifying patient care as an active, continuous process.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Current California RN License required
2. Current AHA BLS certification required
3. Current AHA ACLS certification required
4. Current NIH Stroke Scale certification required
5. Current Tele or PCU experience required
6. Arrhythmia interpretation skills preferred
7. Traveler experience strongly preferred
8. Ability to communicate in English and to perform potentially complex speaking, reading, writing, and mathematics required
9. Ability to organize, prioritize and delegate appropriately required

This position is responsible for the assessment, treatment, and care of all ages of patients based on unit specific standards.
