Job Title: RN Supervisor (Contract Position)
Location: Burlington, VT
Duration: 14 Weeks
Hours: 40 hours per week
Hourly Pay: $40/hr to $46/hr
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
- Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
- Oversee patient admissions, discharges, and transfers to ensure smooth transitions of care.
- Conduct regular rounds to assess patient status and monitor the quality of care provided.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
- Assist with staff training, orientation, and ongoing education to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Address and resolve patient and family concerns or complaints in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, promoting professional growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license in the state of Vermont.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a healthcare setting.
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a diverse healthcare team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and organizational priorities.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as needed.
