Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join their team. With over 65 years of unparalleled expertise in complex plastic injection molding and contract manufacturing, our client operates in the United States, China, Mexico, and Europe, serving renowned healthcare, automotive, and industrial OEMs worldwide. We are actively seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily responsibilities of our In-Process Inspectors, Manufacturing Quality Technicians, Quality Assurance Technicians, and Finished Goods Specialists. The primary focus of this role is to ensure strict adherence to documented operations, guaranteeing the production of parts that meet customer standards.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the team, providing necessary support through effective communication and teamwork, while addressing Adjustment Requests and resolving all product quality issues.
Offer employee assistance and training initiatives to uphold production excellence.
Ensure that products produced, packed, and shipped to customers align with all Quality Assurance Specifications.
Be accountable for maintaining compliance with established standards, and delivering an exceptional experience to our clients.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years of experience as a Quality Engineer, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong expertise in the injection molding process.
Enforce compliance with Quality Assurance Requirements (QAR) by In-Process Inspectors (IPIs) and Quality Assurance Technicians (QATs) during shifts.
Approve or reject visual inspections using QAR and General Appearance Samples (GAS) for all Start-ups and Restarts.
Approve all Line Clearances during Start-ups and Restarts.
Personally handle Adjustment Request forms, acting as the liaison between QAT and Process Technicians, working to bring the process back into control.
Follow the defined escalation process as required to make informed decisions on whether to run or shut down a press.
Conduct visual 5S audits during routine machine audits, reporting deficiencies for immediate or long-term resolution.
