Pay Rate: $52 - $59 per hour
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as an Infection Prevention RN. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing infection prevention and control initiatives to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention and control policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory guidelines and best practices.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify potential infection risks and areas for improvement.
- Provide education and training to staff members on infection prevention practices and protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement strategies to prevent and control infections.
- Monitor infection trends and outbreaks, and implement appropriate measures to mitigate risks and prevent spread.
- Investigate and report any suspected or confirmed infections, and implement appropriate infection control measures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to infection prevention activities and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of California.
- Minimum of 1 YR of experience working as an RN, with specific experience in infection prevention preferred.
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of infection prevention principles, practices, and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively educate and train staff members.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
