RN PACU Full Time

The Surgery Center of Fort Lauderdale is seeking a motivated PreOP Registered Nurse to join our team.

 

The Surgery Center of Fort Lauderdale is a fast-paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. 

 

JOB SUMMARY:

1. The RN Pre-op is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies.
2. The RN Pre-op provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family-centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations.
3. The RN Pre-op/PACU supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
4. The RN Pre-op reports to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

 

Experienced in supporting the following specialties:

• Orthopedics
• General Surgery
• GI
• Ophthalmology
• Pain
• Plastic
• Podiatry
• Urology.

 

Qualifications:

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Must have current BLS, ALS 
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to the changing condition of the patient when needed
